Job Description

The Cell lead must have a good working knowledge of product lines in which they lead. They will communicate issues as they arise as well as assist in resolving them quickly.  In addition, must ensure cell associates observe prescribed safety precautions.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily:

  • Cell lead must learn each role in various cells for coverage
  • Will train associates on procedure, manufacturing task and any knowledge needed in various cells
  • Troubleshoot any equipment problems and perform service and support on production equipment
  • Update daily management board  prior to daily meeting
  • Ensure daily tasks (5S, Kanban audit, DMROs) are being completed
  • Prioritize work correctly throughout each cell
  • Communicate lack or excess labor based on scheduled demand
  • Drive team to standard processes & eliminate waste
  • Provide coverage for the Area Manager when necessary.


Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic, working knowledge of DocSys, formulas, charts, tables, drawings, specifications, schedules, wiring diagrams, and adjustable measuring instruments; creation, maintenance and interpretation of reports, forms, records, and related.
  • Experience with Oracle
  • Ability to train others to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods, for the product line(s) in which the associate leads.
  • Must be self-motivated, self-directed and have the ability to work well as a part of a team.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
