Summary

Individual is responsible for supporting the design, implementation and communication of the Company’s Total Rewards programs and initiatives, with significant focus on compensation and benefits.  Responsibilities include ensuring that the Company’s compensation structure (including base salary, bonus plans, pay structures, salary/merit planning and equity program) is competitive, scalable, measurable, as well as supporting all other Total Rewards programs.   

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provides research, analysis, design, implementation, communication, and metrics/analytics around all Total Rewards programs, including financial and non-financial.
  • Assists in the development, analysis and administration of company compensation programs including salary structures, salary planning, bonus programs, and equity plans.
  • Assists with development of Total Rewards strategy and supporting policies and practices.
  • Takes lead role in utilization and development of existing and recommended technology to automate, streamline and augment related processes and practices, allowing for an enhanced employee experience, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Interprets job descriptions, job summaries, and associated skills and responsibilities for global total compensation benchmarking and evaluation
  • Participates in the review and evaluation of employee salary data, job evaluations and competitive market pay to identify trends and inconsistencies. Make recommendations based upon evaluation.  
  • Analyzes market salary data to support development and maintenance of salary structures within the organization
  • Completes annual salary surveys with outside vendor, including establishment and maintenance of processes to remit Altra compensation data in all applicable regions.
  • Develop real-time program reporting/analytics, providing results tied to defined metrics.
  • Provide support with benefits and other rewards programs where and as required.
  • Maintains current knowledge of related regional government rules and regulations, including those in the US as well as outside of the US, as required. Ensures that compliance and reporting requirements are fulfilled.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • 7+ years of related HR, Finance or Audit experience, with a robust focus on data and analytics required.
  • 2+ years of experience required in an analytical environment with manipulation of large data sets.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and partner closely with appropriate business partners across all levels of the organization clients preferred.
  • Prior exposure to HR related processes preferred.

  • Proven expertise with technology (Microsoft Excel, Access, HCM system, database analytics) in creation, design, and measurement of global compensation programs, as well as other rewards programs.
