Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
 

This position will be responsible for managing production responsibilities for assembly line(s) by implementing and improving manufacturing processes to achieve improvement in productivity & in cycle time and reduction in waste and defects



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervise and manage production responsibilities in shift
  2. Responsible for following quality system procedures as required and achieve delivery targets
  3. Identify root cause of problems and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence in future
  4. Implementation Poka-Yoke for improving quality and production
  5. Troubleshoot manufacturing problems and implement sustainable corrective actions
  6. Enhance current line setups to maximize output and improve quality
  7. Perform appropriate tests for specification and reliability
  8. Serve as the manufacturing team player to support product development
  9. Providing guidance to the operators and training them on the job                                                                                                                                        

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  1. Ability to apply engineering and scientific principles and disciplines (e.g.: Problem Analysis and Root Cause Corrective Action, SPC, Design of Experiments etc.)
  2. Familiarity of tools like Lean Manufacturing, 8D, FMEA & KANBAN
  3. Good PC skills (MS- Office and Internet)

Job Requirements

  • EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

    B.E or B.Tech in Mechanical / Production with 2-4 yrs. experience (minimum 2 Years of experience in mass manufacturing / assembly of functional products)
