Job Description

The successful candidate will strategically plan to achieve quality objectives from Policy Deployment and be responsible for setting, directing, and measuring weekly, quarterly, and annual quality goals that support that initiative.  This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity for broad exposure to all aspects of our business.  Endeavors to meet policy deployment objectives by performing the duties as stated below.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct and supervise Quality Assurance personnel, functions, and activities
  • Champion the ISO9001:2015 program to ensure compliance and maintenance of ISO certification
  • Discuss questionable dimensional and geometric tolerances with Design Engineers
  • Interface with all departments to discuss quality related issues
  • Coordinate train and assist in internal and supplier quality audits and inspections of operational and supplier programs and processes
  • Plan and develop methods, procedures, and schedules to conduct a continuously improving quality process
  • Manage to improve internal and external PPM
  • Participate in new product development meetings & engineering change process meetings
  • Provide positive leadership to maintain high morale as demonstrated by teamwork skills
  • Own warranty process

Job Requirements

Critical Competencies:

  • Certification through ASQ preferred (CQE/CQM-OE)
  • Must be comfortable communicating with customers and suppliers
  • Must possess a familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in Minitab
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Strong analytical, communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Experience using multiple root cause analysis tools and methods required; 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, Pareto, etc.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
  • 3 or more years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience managing an ISO9001:2015 Quality System required
