Job Description

As a member of the Shared Services Leadership Team, the SS Manager will collaborate with various stakeholders to lead and facilitate initiatives and document progress to goals. This role will also lead teams with representatives from multiple departments in order to achieve enhancements in processes and procedures, including major system implementations and other process improvement opportunities. This would include leading and supporting teams with membership from HR, IT, Procurement, Supply Chain, Accounting, Legal, Tax, and other areas.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and improve Shared Service KPI’s.
  • Utilize lean methodologies, such as value stream mapping, PDCA, visual management and other lean and/or CI tools to drive business improvement. Ensure that all elements, such as standardized processes, problem-solving and governance are in place to drive sustainable results.
  • Evaluates processes and procedures to meet departmental internal controls requirements. Works across the organization to identify internal control deficiencies in existing processes/procedures, the need for new ones, and determining the extent to which such processes/procedures are implemented. Develops and implements corrective actions with regard to department internal controls as necessary.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining process documentation
  • Analyze and evaluate business processes and recommend actions to streamline processes and improve operational efficiencies. Initiate, research and document improvements to current methods and procedures.
  • Manages projects / resources as assigned, ensures that resources are aligned with project goals.
  • Respectfully challenge the status quo and encourage his or her fellow employees to get better every day.
  • Analyzing data and process to develop customer, quality and organizational metrics.
  • Benchmark externally to identify and standardize best practices. Lead and/or directly influence cross-business strategic initiatives, projects, improvement opportunities and similar high impact projects.
  • Partner with various functions across the organization including IT, HR, Procurement, Treasury, Sales, Supply Chain and Tax to improve value of the Shared Services function.
  • Provide assistance to Senior Management throughout the Company on various projects, as required

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, accounting or related field preferred
  • Lean and or Six Sigma Black Belt certification, preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years accounting, financial reporting, data analysis and/or project management experience
  • Must be PC-literate within a windows environment and strong knowledge of Microsoft Applications and major ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle.
